flawless? how the? explain eh,
Re: PROBLEM.........HELP..............
"Flawless" mean you have to play the entire game with full health, and "How the?" mean you have to shoot through a wall and hit enemy's c4 then kill him.

Call your ISP and demand satisfaction, and threaten that you're going to cut off your subscription.

cannot la singapore got contract. satisfy or not = stil got contract to finish
haha cut off subsciption then early termination charges kick in. the $$$ penalty can make u GG in real life lol
Re: PROBLEM.........HELP..............
You have a legal system in Singapore, right? In the contract with your ISP you should have signed up for some type of plan, a certain amount of money for a certain bandwidth speed, if the ISP cannot live up to that promise then they are in breach - breach of contract. You can test that speed either by your provider or an independent third party site, there are quite a few of them. PLDT here in the Philippines tried to pull that "Sir, you're under contract." shit on me until I got legal after them, now as soon as I have a problem there's a guy at my house in 30 minutes or less

i have written an e-mail to them telling them my problem, but the real problem is we not only doing legal web browsing only, we sometimes did dl some stuff from Internet like anime or song, if they found out, we are in trouble also. but they have replied me and asked some of my info and then they will start investigate, hopefully they can settle this problem.
So IF ANYONE ELSE GOT THE SAME PROBLEM AS MINE WHEN PLAYING GAME OR USING INTERNET, PLEASE KINDLY WRITE THEM A FEEDBACK SO THAT THEY KNOW NOT ONLY I'M THE ONE WHO HAVING THIS PROBLEM.

Re: PROBLEM.........HELP..............
This is the mail they sent to me after reading my feedback:
Thank you for your email.
With regard to your slow access issue, we would appreciate it if you
could provide us the following information so that our engineers
could investigate and advice further.
1. HFC MAC ID (found at the barcode sticker on the cable modem) :
2. Cable modem light status :
3. When did the problem start and what time the problem would occur
most likely:
4. Operating system (OS version / Service Pack):
5. Firewall, anti-virus, peer-to-peer software running in your PC.
(Please include vendor and version) :
6. Have you done any tweaking to the Registry:
7. Port number and IP address of the site/server that is having
latency :
8. 3 x Bandwidth meter test via http://utilities.starhub.com (using
direct connection without router if you happen to use router).
9. 3 x Trace route and ping results to sites which you experience
latency (using direct connection without router if you happen to use
router).
We would appreciate it if you could also advice us whether are you
experiencing the following symptom:
- Sudden/Intermittently unable to surf some websites and problem will
self-resolve shortly
- Involves local and overseas websites
- Only web surfing is affected, other applications such as MSN/Yahoo
messenger are not affected
If you have any questions on StarHub Digital Cable and MaxOnline
services, please email to this address or fax in to 6725 1603.
Thank you.

Wow, really? I heard Singapore was strict but didn't know it was THAT strict.
As far as what they're asking for, the common routine:
With regard to your slow access issue, we would appreciate it if you
could provide us the following information so that our engineers
could investigate and advice further.
1. HFC MAC ID (found at the barcode sticker on the cable modem) :
They're most likely checking to see whether you have a new or old model, as most ISPs change the types of modems they issue semi-annually.
2. Cable modem light status :
To see if your modem and connection are functioning correctly.
3. When did the problem start and what time the problem would occur
most likely:
Here they're looking to see if you changed settings or intsalled a program that would interfere with your connection. I'm not sure why they're asking you what time the problem occurs, one of the main selling points of DSL is a steady and reliable internet connection despite peak traffic times.
4. Operating system (OS version / Service Pack):
Just want to make sure you're running a compatible OS and it's up to date (ex. Windows XP Service Pack 2)
5. Firewall, anti-virus, peer-to-peer software running in your PC.
(Please include vendor and version) :Firewalls can result in you displaying a high ping if configured incorrectly, anti-virus can slow your speed, and peer-to-peer software will definitely eat up your bandwidth.
6. Have you done any tweaking to the Registry:
There are websites out there that will advise how to "maximize your DSL connection" and that sometimes involves changing certain settings, even in the registry. The bad news is that sometimes this will cause things like packet-loss, or even slowdown your connection.
7. Port number and IP address of the site/server that is having
latency :
They'll most likely try to blame the site or server, or blame it on being a foreign server if that's the case, if the connection is slow.
8. 3 x Bandwidth meter test via http://utilities.starhub.com (using
direct connection without router if you happen to use router).
They're asking you to use their bandwidth meter test, which might be fine, but with my ISP (PLDT) their bandwidth meter test is completely fake. It often gives me readings of 4mb/s or more, when in fact my actual speed is closer to 2.5 mb/s. If I were you, I would test it on some independent sites as well. While your ISP will most likely give you a speech about slowdowns due to routing and internet traffic, your speed shouldn't be less than 75% of what they advertise. speedtest.net and dslreports.com are two good sites to get you started.
9. 3 x Trace route and ping results to sites which you experience
latency (using direct connection without router if you happen to use
router).
The issue might be how your connection is routed to whichever website you're trying to reach.
We would appreciate it if you could also advice us whether are you
experiencing the following symptom:
- Sudden/Intermittently unable to surf some websites and problem will
self-resolve shortly
Bad connection, could be your lines or modem, or unreliable connection from your location to your ISP.
- Involves local and overseas websites
See above; of course you'll always have slower connections and higher pings to foreign websites, but noticable latency to countries like Malaysia or Hong Kong are still indicative of a problem. As for me, my fastest connections are to servers in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore. But I still get a ping of 300ms or less to servers in the US.
- Only web surfing is affected, other applications such as MSN/Yahoo
messenger are not affected
Here they're going to look at your browser settings and will most likely ask you to restore them to default, then try to open the webpage again. They may also ask you to "Cycle your modem" which just means turning the power off then back on, or "Repairing your connection" which invovles going to your network/internet connections icon in your system tray and clicking the "repair" option.
Of course they're going to try as much as possible to blame it on your computer settings or software before they'll consider themselves at fault, just provide all the information they ask and hopefully they'll keep working with you. They're less concerned about actually helping you with your problem, and more concerned about getting your reference number off of their queue.
Personally, I've noticed ingame that when I take Commander occassionally my ping will jump to 900+, but that's just in BF2142.
