PROBLEM.........HELP..............

recently when i tried to play cod or bf, the ping is damn high, everytime lag like hell, it will recover to normal speed for only about 2, 3 secs, then become very high again. cod my ping at SA server is over 500 average. then bf at MBT server is over 300 average. anyone know what happen??? my browsing net speed is still normal, quite fast, but when come to online game, it become very slow.

anyone can solve this problem?? stupid starhub.....

quite common.. i had it before.. no solutions sorry.. sometimes its like tt sometimes its ok.. for me now its ok..

lol. do u have a router? if u have, off your router and modem for about 1-2 minutes. off as in off main power supply. after 1-2 mins, on your modem 1st until all the lights on the modem stabilizes. i think is 4 lights. then on your modem. it should work bah. good luck have fun

ok looks like ghost has a problem that is similar to mine.
normal play then suddenly as huge spike that cripples my com and gameplay.
no solutions so far.. im living with it lol
and plus i have a cod4 lag problem that is almost unsolvable.
mayb got la reformat com but i lazy lol.

There are solutions.

Call your ISP and screw them upside down. Because the problem arises due to the ISP not being able to process the bandwidth properly for you. Thus, you have that problem.

Or you can just blame yourself for living in a wulu area.

Or just call police, they'll settle the rest.

Nothing wrong with the isp, it somthing wrong with the servers. Dont believe me? Go try playing on a aus server and see ur ping

i think my problem now should be ok liao. i disabled my connection network then restart com, after that enable it again, it's work fine now. thanks.

but sometimes starhub really didn't do a very good job. maxonline upgrade the dl speed to 8mbps, but only to dl, play games still almost same speed.

i tried other server, but still same, even lagger. but sg server is worst, i play cod even got 999 ping just now.

nah.. its not the ping.. most of us didnt like cod..

to most of us, cod is not our cup of tea/coffee/pepsi/coke/sprite/sarsi/kickapoo/mountain dew/peach tea/soya bean.

i dunno wad's the reason for the rest, but mine is the frames are too jerky. probably because of my com. and the randomness of a grenade thrower pisses me off.

it's fine with me, i love both bf and cod, as long as it's FPS game. I really enjoy playing FPS game, but strat game or other type of game, they don't really attract me.

mine is cos my laptop cant support and also i still prefer the teamwork in bf..

ah i starhub no problem, and cod4 just need to play la dont tell me you play 2142 for the first time you didnt feel like quitting, you all play non-hardcore tdm, nades flying around sure sian la, play hardcore, inject realism abit. search and destroy, more thinking then shooting,

haha noobish.. i play cod4 get my lvl55 in a few weeks i sianz liao.. bf i took a few mnths to get bg but still not sianz..

ai yo. bf and cod4 totally different thing. bf is squad aim shoot. cod is jump spray pray. haha. what i can say is both games have totally different experience.just have to get use to the new modes.

I've had that problem a couple of times, but I've noticed server side lag spikes much more often! This is especially true on the MBT server. One thing I just noticed yesterday was a feeling of "shooting blanks" on the MBT server. I would empty half a clip into someone only a few meters away, yet they wouldn't die and would instead end up killing me. This kept happening repeatedly, which is why I gave up and went commander. Eventually, I just quit altogether.

recently i found out that my sent data is much more than my received data, i think my com got something like spyware, keep sending my data to the hacker, still trying to solve this pro, maybe will buy another aniti virus/spyware.

btw, i learned this from tv, it says if you feel your network speed is much slower than it used to be and sent data is much more than your received data and u didn't really uploading things, u most probably got some kind of spyware inserted into your com, it will continuing sending your data to hacker, so try not to enter your bank acct or any important passwords through online.Another way is to buy a new internet security software or antispyware.

haha. to me, anti-virus is not much of help. os evryay gt new virus (adware/spyware). you just have to search for some really stupid/strange/odd registry and delete it. but i still haven't learn. still on anti-virus. LOL

hah rank is nothing in the game la, rank just pic only, what matters is gameplay, i mean im only level 25 and i can out-play SOME lvl 55, while others like hurricanex and jig saw and quite a few other people will just roflpwn me, so its not all about ranks, and im not sure if you experienced hardcore mode search and destroy, teamwork is effing important. all five guard one bombsite suddenly bomb plant somewhere else all run together, kena tube or nade all die. ah so must thinkabit.

oh if you sian try completing some of the challenges in cod4, misery loves company ^ ^
