Re: is a good mouse important during game play?
i was looking forward to getting the G5 since that was what most of the gamers were using... when i tried to check on the internet.. i found Logitech released the latest model of the G series which was the G9.
G9 has greater DPI than the G5 so more accurate in motion... more features like its 9 buttons, 5 customable profiles, its built in memory and no more worries if ur hands get sweaty or not coz u can change the grips to rubberized of rough surface.

Re: is a good mouse important during game play?
There is one problem with some logitech mouse though. Sometimes the mouse can make you spin auto. Like your like shifting to the left and all of a sudden you get shifted to the top and start spinning continously
Err hard to explain but happens to me quite a few times, this is why i'm considering buying a razer... after i buy a PS3 hahaha

wah serious dude the G9 zach posted looks damn cool. but the body cover looks abit big. hmm not sure if the feeling of ur hand on it will be full or slick. i prefer slim body mouse though regardless of the brand. so far the diamondback works pretty well!

actually, more DPI may not necessarily mean accurate motion. It just means that u are able to scroll a over a larger area.
I am setting my G5 to about 760dpi for normal CQ. and only 2000dpi for Gunship.
anything more 760 for CQ than that I will find it difficult to aim. Tend to "over-stear" if you know what i mean..
