The 8800 GT has much better performance to price ratio - right now.

The newer 8800GTS will release early next yet, and will absolutely dominate every other card out there, if you go with EVGA cards, at least you have the option to use their Step-Up program.

Right now GT is newer than GTS, and you should pay about $200USD for a card. HOWEVER! Early next year they're releaser a new version of the GTS will dominate both the GT and GTX (which I own). I can link to articles if you need me to...
