ea sg #02 lagging?

recently ea sg severs are getting laggy.
dont really like it. i can drive until crash sia. today afternoon-.-
anyone know what's happenning? or maybe it's just my com?

It's the server. I played with a few of you today, ggs btw. But the server is starting to behave a little like SG1 in terms of the lag bubbles, not nearly as bad yet, but we'll see what happens.

Its been lagging all the while -.-..

really hope it can go back to those days when the tag was 'why lag on faraway severs?'

frag should close the other "ghost town" server and open 1-2 more 32 player CQ rather then 1 CQ 42 player -.-" dunno y they waste the money there lol

Hi all,

Recently just experienced the "lag" u all are talking about. Very irritating, but it only happens when i just join the server. After a while it becomes ok leh, just that occasionally teleport here and there. Maybe its the ISP, coz i keep getting DC for no reason nowadays.

# If you're running multiple CPU's or a dual-core CPU such as the Intel's Core 2 Duo, or our AMD Athlon 62 X2, you might be experiencing the same issue as us! To correct this problem:

1. Start Battlefield 2142
2. Hit Alt+Tab on your keyboard to get back to your desktop while BF2142 is running.
3. Pull up your Task Manager by right-clicking on the task bar and selecting Task Manager, or hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard.
4. Under your Processes tab, find your BF2.exe. Right–click on it and select “Set Affinity...”.
5. In the resulting dialog you will see CPU0, CPU1, and perhaps several other CPU checkboxes. Each enabled checkbox represents an individual CPU core. Uncheck every checkbox other than CPU0.
6. Hit OK and close your Task Manger.
7. Go back into the game. You'll have to do this every time you start BF2142, but you'll be able to play!

no worries lah. confirm can game for hours without a single DC unless server crash

i think only amd x2 cpu needs to do these setting lah.

anyway, bf2142 only uses 1 core

Almost every game out right now does, Supreme Commander can utilize up to four cores, I'm not sure if any others do.
