Network proble??

recently my network keep disconnecting itself, saying the cable has been unplugged, is my router got problem, or Starhub's fault???


anyone experiencing same problem as mine?? i can't even play cod now, cos i keep hanging during game.

maybe the network port faulty?
or the cable got problem. like the wire inside broken.

don't know leh, i also don't know what to do, change a new cable??? but i can't even sure what problem is it...

you have to find the fault lor.

hmmm could be isp fault.. i starhub also than occasionally during the day there wil be intermittent disconnections.. also saying network signal not strong plus occasional not being able to detect network..

was more frequent last wk. these few days no more though

they should have just increase the underground cable, so many ppl signing up their services, yet they never increase the cable to suit the increasing customer.

are you on a router?
I had my problem with my router. Intermittent connection.
Now it runs direct from modem to PC.

Try connecting direct to your modem to isolate if it is due to the router.

ya, i'm using router, but when i direct connect to modem, it took like 5 mins and still configuring the network, then i plug back to router....

also, my sis wanna use the laptop, if i plug to modem, she will kill me.

got fren living near u using starhub? try to borrow their modem and do isolation.
prob the modem or router.

u still under contract anot? which generation of motorola modem u using?
if not under contract then juz renew contract and ask for new modem.

Most likely is modem's fault. My 2wire modem from Singnet does that sometimes, restarts itself for fun. Until I changed to a 3rd party gateway

talk about modem, i also think my modem spoilt.
if my modem is switched on for more that like 2 days, the intenet connect will go dead slow. sometimes will dc also. but more to slow connection than dc.

anyone face this problem before?

there are quite a lot of issues faced by starhub user. you are not the only one. DC, website wont load or blocked.

i just signed 2 yr contract leh.
cannot jump ship. heard that singnet is good.

still under contract. the modem is super old, haha, i think is Motorola SB 5100..

i am definitely going to ask for a new modem when renewing contract.

i think they will give when you renewing contract, but without any promotions plan.... if renewing with promotion, they will not give new modem for free right???

can.. i got new modem when i recontracted...
2 year contract. No promo items.

so. sad. i recontract last time for ipod.
lol. then recontracted again for some like 50% off shit.
both no new modem. maybe i didnt request. sian
