Post Battlefield Bootcamp

Hi. will try to sum up the whole of today's events. It was definitely a hectic day. Could tell that all of us were just tired out from all the concentration and focus given to the game. Even the top clan players were also tired.

We met up for lunch and we initially wanted to discuss some strategies but we didn't really talk about any till we got to e2max. That was when i think most of us were more focused on our objective - which is to play our best.

The first game was played in Cerebre Landing against DA. Couldn't really remember the exact lineup so i think i'll skip it. I felt that we defended pretty well as we constantly mined the roads to prevent them from rushing and they didn't really manage to push us back. As for attacking, we didn't manage to cap Command Center but we eventually got their tickets down. Communication was somewhere there. Movement wise as a team can be improved as on occasions, some of us strayed off abit.

The next game was played in Cerebre Landing as well against the team from the community players. We rotated the squad abit so as to let everybody able to get a chance to play. We attacked them by going from the right and taking Roadblock and then taking South Town, forcing them to defend at Command Center. After some strong resilience from the defending side, we managed to cap their final flag and won that round.

I personally was hoping that we'll get a chance to play Bf.Nut. No doubt we'll lose but it'll be good for experience and to see how much we have to improve and where to improve on. The next game was the titan match and it was definitely an eye-opener for everybody. -SgAF- and some of the Bf.Nut players like m4ggot,justawonderkid and 2 others whom i can't remember (sorry for that) were up against DA and some of the community players as well as the sole JEDI. We managed to cap the silos quite well and not long, their shield was half down and subsequently it went down. Initially a few squads were attacking till our shield was down as well, it left with only 1 squad attacking and the rest defending. The guys defending did a great job as we did not lose a reactor console. We just held on out for the win when the last missile hit the hull.

Another highlight had to be the Knife FFA. it should probably be the first time for most players to experience such a game. Adrenaline was constantly pumping in that game and that kept us living on the edge. -SgAF- XinAI did us proud by coming in 3rd behind m4goot and justawonderkid with the latter clinching the title.

End of everything, we had some phototaking outside with the individual clans and then a group photo. It was a super fun day for us and i think all of us enjoyed it even though we were shagged. Although it's the last event for 2142, no doubt it'll leave behind one of our fondest memories. This was where we met and eventually got together as a team.

Then i came up with a slogan: "We Will Not Fall". Was intending to ask for comments and if it's good probably will try to add it to the design of our clan tee.

well said! we all had a great time, and the exposure gained from the 'last' bf community gathering was absolutely valuable. new found friends, newly gained experiences.

3cheers for battlefield2142!! lets not 4get abt this game which brought us all together while we are playing COD4!

Hey guys..
First of all, i want to thank all the SgAF members that were present during the bootcamp that was held yesterday.
To hobbles234, ichimarugin and friends ( BigBrains and Maiev), thanks for joining us down at the event..everyone gave a contribution to SgAF's win in the 2 matches.
So anyway, i guess now we've finally met in person haha
To xwatx, destiny, xinai. hydriz, freakout, aimnfire, bloodseeker,noobishcake - thanks for finding time and reason( lol) to come down for this event despite busy shedules ( like MOVING HOUSE) , and err should i say PARENTAL RESTRICTION.
Nevertheless, im very pleased that the clan as a whole did really well. We played well, and most importantly,made many new friends at this event.

And yea, not to forget.
Congratulations to -SgAF- XinAi for coming in 3rd in the Knife FFA category.
The Knife FFA was a really messy one in game, not an easy one definitely, but yet XinAi managed to keep up with the top few. Other members of SgAF also did well in the Knife FFA, many just trailing behind the leaders, until when justawonderkid from bf.nut really widen the gap for an eventual victory. So congrats to wonderkid and m4ggot of bf.nut as well!

Winner: The group of 9 SgAF, 2 Bf.nut. 1 JEDI, 2 Community member

2nd place: Bf.Nut m4ggot
3rd place: -SgAF- XinAi

A real pity the entire event had to be shortened due to time contraints. It would indeed be interesting if we were able to play the full roundrobin in the 8v8 conquest event, as well as the 5v5 infantry wars, and the 2v2 armour challenge.
But time eventually caught up on us, and the entire event was brought to a wonderful closure at around 930 ( correct me if im wrong lol dang i cant really rememer the time..too shag liao).

For now, we will have to set our sights on new goals in the future. I hope that the progress of SgAF will remain consistent, even when we transit to cod4 or other games in future.

Hope all would remember this very day - 1 DEC '07( yes mh happy ORD too lol ) .

btw if you didnt know you're supposed to aim slightly behind the opponent to get the hit..thats why u aim directly you get the sound but nvr die

Though we didnt get to play against Bf.nut, we manage to win every round we played =)

well, the boot camp is finally over and to me it mean the shifting of game from 2142 to Cod4...(but of course i will still play 2142 once in a while)...

the whole experience was a rather new one for me...as in i was in fact actually quite the new bird compared to people like mixmaths (a.k.a Clearwater87 for those who still doesn't know), freakout and many more....

I am honoured to be able to be the commander of -SgAF- in the 2 matches that we fought against DA and the community memebers...i am glad to say we won them quite beautifully...though there are mistake here and there...we eventually cover them up and move on...to victory..
( i almost sore throat-ed from the shouting as well =X )

As for personal "achievement" , all i can say is it is just luck and some skill bah...noobish skill =X ( mashmash has been hunting my dog tag ever since boot camp -_-"")

I enjoyed myself and i hope not just my fellow clan members....but everyone in the whole 2142 family enjoyed themselves =)
